Very common in the UK, though often without the handle

I have the handle on mine but it's a bit wonky as it was posted to me by ebay seller who used too small packaging and squashed the handle out of shape.

Anne, the handle on mine is broken on one of the bends of the triangle on the end. I've done a sort of repair to try to stabilise it until I can work out a permanent fix. Perhaps you could try carefully applying some steam to yours to reshape it, but I wouldn't guarantee it would work.
